Job Role: Senior Logistics – Agri Commodity

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee logistics operations for agricultural commodities, ensuring seamless supply chain processes.

Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery of agricultural goods.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure efficient stock control across various locations.

Handle the documentation and regulatory compliance related to logistics for agricultural products.

Plan and implement strategies to optimize transportation and distribution routes.

Resolve any issues related to logistics, delivery, or customer concerns in a timely manner.

Analyze logistics performance metrics and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with production schedules and demand forecasting.

Lead and mentor junior logistics staff, providing guidance on best practices and industry standards.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role, ideally within agriculture or commodity trading.

 

Skills:

Strong understanding of logistics software and tools.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements for agricultural commodity transport and storage.

Analytical skills to assess logistics performance and develop strategies for improvement.

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
